✿ | A question Yuzu always asks herself…

Is it really worth it?

Dipping her head down, red bangs cover primly over her eyelids. In her hands, she holds the COMP that Naoya altered since that day. It felt so long ago, but…was that ordeal really that much of a game? A battle between life and death, hope and despair, kill or be killed. She just happens to miraculously live. And she had left the group.

But there was more than to just trying to fight for your life. It was a matter of making decisions, quickly and swiftly. All Yuzu wanted to do was escape, survive, even if it means running away from the demise of those demons. (Even though it was technically those angels whom had set the stage of the barricade, the girl still had other things.) And it seemed like humanity was at end’s peak. Especially since a certain someone had become King of Bel–and he was abusing that power to slaughter most of mankind.

Why? Why did it turn out this way? If I had stayed…

And in the end, she surrounded herself in isolation.

Would I have been able to change anything?

Covering her face with her fists, she shakily tries to wipe away those hot tears that had cascaded down from her cheeks–and eventually drip onto the ground. Just imagining–Kazuya Minegishi–no, Abel had been reborn into his soul. This guy was no longer the childhood friend that she knew. He was no longer the human that Yuzu had been with for so long.

No. He’s gone. And he’s never going back to his original state. It can’t be undone. It can’t be un-changed.

Because it was his fate alone.
